Welcome to the website of the Nucleus Operating System Project, a project to create a fully-fledged operating system which is modern, fast and reliable. We intend to have as many features as possible, focusing on safety and security as well as features and graphics. Currently Nucleus OS is a text based Operating system, as no support for a proper GUI has been added, however, a text based GUI has been implemented. Please browse our site and download Nucleus to have a look. It runs fine under real computers and most PC virtualisation software, such as Bochs or QEmu. We aim Nucleus to be as usable and hands-on as possible, while being extremely easy to use. You can look at our roadmap, to see exactly what direction we are taking Nucleus in.
